Every season, a club unveils several jerseys. The home kit makes the headlines, the away kit intrigues, and the third kit divides opinion. Here is what truly sets them apart, and how to choose yours.

The home kit, the one recognized from afar

It is the hallmark jersey, the one that bears the club's historic colors. It changes little in spirit from one season to the next: we find the stripes, the sash, or the solid block color that supporters have associated with the club for decades. It is the jersey that the majority of people choose, and the one that ages the best.

The away kit, born from a constraint that became a playground

Originally, the away jersey served a simple rule: when two teams have colors that are too similar, the referee and spectators can no longer distinguish between them. Therefore, a second set is required, one that is clearly different.

This constraint has become a source of freedom. It is on the away kit that designers are the most daring: unexpected colors, patterns, and references to the city or the club's history. In fact, many collectors prefer the away kit to the home one, precisely because it surprises.

The third kit, the jersey on the fringes

The third jersey is worn only a few times a year, when neither the home nor the away kit is suitable. It is produced in smaller quantities and disappears more quickly. This is what makes it a unique item: one that you rarely come across in the street.
