A club desired for the capital
1969. The French Football Federation and a group of executives—Guy Crescent, Henri Patrelle, Pierre-Étienne Guyot—launched the Paris Football Club to restore a top-tier team to Paris. In May 1970, the young club merged with Stade Saint-Germain. From this union, Paris Saint-Germain was born.
The club settled into the newly rebuilt Parc des Princes. Jean Djorkaeff wore the Parisian jersey there, and Paris FC finished twelfth in Division 1 in 1972-1973. The lease would be short: two years later, it was already necessary to look for another address. It would return there for one season, in 1978-1979.
Successive addresses followed: the Porte de Montreuil stadium from 1974, La Cipale and Villeneuve-la-Garenne after the changing rooms burned down, Colombes and Bauer for a season, and names that changed with the rhythm of the re-foundations—Racing Paris 1, Paris FC 83, Paris FC 98, Paris FC 2000. Jean-François Beltramini remains the club's all-time top scorer.
Charléty, in the 13th arrondissement, eventually provided a lasting home. Vincent Demarconnay guarded the goal there from 2008 to 2023, as captain and record holder for matches played in the Parisian jersey. Since 2025, Paris FC has been hosting matches at the Stade Jean-Bouin, at Porte de Saint-Cloud.
Borrowed changing rooms, lent stands, never a home of its own.
The navy blue, however, has survived every move and every name change. It is just about the only thing that Paris FC has never had to rebuild.

Wash it cold, inside out, with a mild detergent. Avoid the tumble dryer and never iron directly over the flocking or patches.
