April 21, 1999, Stadio delle Alpi in Turin. Semi-final second leg against Juventus. United is down 2-0 after eleven minutes, with Filippo Inzaghi having scored twice. Roy Keane narrowed the gap with a header in the 24th minute, Dwight Yorke equalized in the 34th, Andy Cole sealed a 3-2 victory. Qualification 4-3 on aggregate.
May 26, 1999, Camp Nou in Barcelona. Final against Bayern Munich. Mario Basler opened the scoring very early. Teddy Sheringham equalized in stoppage time, Ole Gunnar Solskjær scored two minutes later. 2-1, in a Catalan stadium, one month after Turin.
May 21, 2008, Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow. The competition's first all-English final, against Chelsea. Cristiano Ronaldo opened the scoring in the 26th minute, Frank Lampard equalized just before the break, Didier Drogba was sent off in extra time. 1-1, then 6-5 on penalties, in the Russian rain.
